Rooted in Food

ReWild didn't start as a business.
It started as a question.

ReWild is the culmination of twenty years of asking one question: why are Americans so disconnected from where their food comes from, and what is that costing us?

The answer shows up everywhere. In chronically sick people. In depleted soil, dying ecosystems, and a food system that produces abundance while making us sicker. Food is our deepest daily connection to nature. When that relationship fractures, everything fractures with it.

Jill and Jay built the answer. No family money, no safety net, no blueprint. A VW van, a Montana winter, a log home built by hand, and eventually, a gravel pit turned regenerative farm on the Clark Fork River.

At ReWild, people don’t just learn about food systems. They participate in them. They harvest, cook, and eat food grown on the land, and that experience changes how they shop, eat, and think about food, their health, and the health of the planet long after they leave.

This is how we change the world together, one table at a time. Come grab a seat at ours.

2021

Year one.  Neglected ground, compacted soil, and a lot of faith.

2026

Five years later. Same land. Completely different story.

Jill

Farmer. Nutrition therapy practitioner. Kitchen sorceress. Has been chasing the same question her whole life:  why did we lose our connection to food, and how do we get it back? ReWild is the answer she built.

Jay (Bird)

Builder. Hunter. The wearer of many visors.  The reason ReWild has a bathhouse, a well, and a functioning farm. Friends with Jill since he was 14. The quiet force behind everything you see here.

You already know you want to come.

This is your invitation.

ReWild Ranch sits on the ancestral lands of the Salish, Kootenai, and Pend d’Oreilles peoples.

We steward this land with gratitude and responsibility.
